The Meatmen w/Hans Condor & Slammers

When: Sun., Oct. 30, 9 p.m. 2011
Price: $5
Can we tell you a secret? You promise not to tell anyone? Sometimes when we're all alone, we like to put on some wrasslin’ bloomers and a trench coat and run around the house screaming the words to “Orgy of One.” Despite the fact that we're generally semi-sorta upstanding citizens who respect the feelings of all individuals, we totally love Michigan punk legends The Meatmen, who definitely DO NOT respect the feelings of anyone. Masters of the morally repulsive — what else can you call a band whose most recognizable song is called “Crippled Children Suck” — The Meatmen have 30 years of pushing pretty much every sort of button in every sort of person under their belts, and damn does it rule. “Tooling For Anus,” “What's This Shit Called Love” and “I Sin for a Living” are just the tip of the ethically questionable iceberg, and true punk classics. Well, at least if you're the kind of person who runs around in wrasslin’ bloomers and a trench coat.
