The Long Players Perform London Calling

To be honest, we were hoping the band would cover Sandinista and change their name to The Really Probably Too Long Yet Still Awesome Players, but our enthusiasm for The Clash is bottomless, if not a bit unwieldy. Hell, we’ve been known to launch into hour-long diatribes about how Cut The Crap isn’t nearly as shitty as the other four people that have heard it say it is. Fortunately for you, dear reader, we don’t call the shots and The Long Players are sticking to the flawlessly crafted perfection of the Only Band That Matters’ best album London Calling. Need more to satisfy your Clash craving? Make sure to check out Julian Temple’s recently released documentary Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten. It’s a beautiful, energetic tribute to all that is good, right and true about rock n’ roll—kinda like The Clash themselves.
