The Infamous Stringdusters at Station Inn

Take-Off

Take-Off
The Infamous Stringdusters can pack the Station Inn any old night they want; word’s long since gotten out that they’re hot, stylish pickers with sensibilities that are hardly strictly bluegrass. But this month-long residency is a little something special. First off, the six guys in the band—Dobro player Andy Hall, guitarist Andy Falco, fiddler Jeremy Garrett, banjo player Chris Pandolfi, mandolin player Jesse Cobb and standup bassist Travis Book, several of whom split vocal duties between them—will be joined by guests each of the four nights. Jim Lauderdale and Sarah Siskind—who happens to be married to Book—are two who’ve been named so far; the rest will be a surprise. The Stringdusters are also rolling out brand-new original material, previewing stuff they just recorded with Gary Paczosa for their upcoming album Things That Fly. Since every single one of them contributed to songwriting this time, there’s bound to be more breadth than ever.
