The Glass Menagerie at Rutherford County Center for the Arts

For more than 60 years, Tennessee Williams' poignant tale of a fragmenting St. Louis family has fully engaged audiences while offering actors the opportunity to tackle meaningful, nuanced roles. This production, under the direction of Donna Seage, is distinguished by the appearance of highly regarded Nashville actress Wesley Paine as deluded matriarch Amanda Wingfield. MTSU theater student Lauren Street plays Laura, her frail and emotionally fragile daughter, and local stage vet Bob Roberts is the peripatetic son Tom. Kyle Olsen has the relatively brief but pivotal role of Jim, the gentleman caller.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 14. Continues through Nov. 23, 2008
