The f-Stops Here

When: Fri., June 27, 6-9 p.m. 2014
East Nashville’s art scene takes a big leap forward tonight with The f-Stops Here, the inaugural photography exhibition at the Nashville Community Darkroom. Founded by John Haubenreich, the darkroom is a professionally equipped workspace that can be utilized for professional and personal projects alike. Haubenreich’s vision marries his love of film photography to his love of arts education that’s focused on traditional photographic processes. The nonprofit organization offers monthly memberships as well as classes and workshops. And of course, it also functions as a gallery, which is the real draw in my book — East Nashville is sprinkled with funky and fancy boutique stores, but what it needs are more walls to hang art on. Tonight’s show includes work by Laura Carpenter, Angela Disrud, Stacey Irvin, Heather Lose, Amanda McAdams, Emily Naff, Kay Ramming, Andee Rudloff, Wendy Whittemore and Nick Dantona. Opening reception JOE NOLAN
