Not content to stand idly by while the economy stagnates, Tennessee Repertory Theatre staunchly continues its fundraising efforts. Two weekends ago it was a crafts and collectibles fair in partnership with FiftyForward. Now it's a concert headlined by Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale, with the irrepressible "Doyle and Debbie" (Bruce Arntson and Jenny Littleton) on board as the evening's hosts. Other musical guests include Alabama singer-songwriter Adam Hood (latest CD, Different Groove), multitalented singer-songwriter/film composer/fisherwoman/snowboarder/
actress/TV host Greta Gaines (2008's Whiskey Thoughts) and also Shelean Newman, whose classy acting and singing have made a marvelous contribution to Rep shows in the past. There's also a silent auction, featuring music industry memorabilia: a blouse worn by June Carter Cash, cookbooks signed by Barbara Mandrell, and more.
