It seems like every other day we get an email about a New Music Site Changing the Industry FOREVER+1 only to realize that it's just another way for bands no ones heard of to befriend each other. One new site with an interesting wrinkle: Brite Revolution. A subscription gives users exclusive access to stuff that isnt available already everywhere else on the Internet, and, more importantly, a percentage of the proceeds is donated to charity. Both users and artists can choose where they want their donations sent. (Compassion International, Save Darfur and Best Friends Animal Society are among the causes participating.) The singer-songwriters of Ten out of Tennwhich includes Katie Herzig, Butterfly Boucher and Matthew Perryman Joneshave signed on as artists, and tonight's show both culminates an 18-city tour and coincides with the launch of the new website at briterevolution.com.
