At this point, The Loveless Cafe story is pretty well knownnationwide, even. A small motel restaurant off the Natchez Trace bakes up some seriously mean scratch biscuits, country music stars make the trip from Nashville and the surrounding environs, folks start coming in droves, the motel becomes gift shops and the restaurant itself becomes a tourist trap that country music stars still visit to this very day because it's part and parcel of being a man (or woman) of the people. Soon, the new Loveless owners decide to build a venue, The Loveless Barn, to capitalize on their good fortune, which brings us at long last to country-music stars (in this case, Suzy Bogguss) actually performing at the restaurant-cum-theme park. Today through Wednesday, Bogguss is bringing her Country Christmas Show to the Barn, an all-encompassing evening that includes Bogguss singing her hits and Christmas classics, sing-alongs, St. Nick hisdamnself and dinner from Loveless Cafe. Some proceeds from the show will go to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and All About Women. For more information, call 646-9700.
