One with the chronic
Police received several calls about a woman exposing her breasts to customers at a Mapco on Gallatin Road. Officers responded to the scene and found the female suspect with her shirt partially pulled up and acting as though she was about to drop trou. When asked what was wrong, the 20-year-old woman said she was “high on life” and that the only thing she had smoked was a little marijuana. She kept shouting, “I am woman,” adding that she was of Native American descent and that her “soul was buried in the earth” and that she was “of the water.” Because the suspect had no record of mental health issues, police determined she was under the influence of some type of controlled substance, and she was booked for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.
A woman was walking along War Memorial Plaza when a man sitting on a bench began loudly serenading her, singing, “She’s a good-hearted woman in love with a good-timing man.” When it became apparent she was ignoring him, the man stood up and abruptly said, “I am the security guard and you have to get off the property,” according to police. The woman later reported the 60-year-old crooner to police, and he was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Truckload of fun
An officer patrolling Murfreesboro Pike spotted a male suspect in a Ford pickup truck weaving back and forth between lanes. When the cop activated his lights, the suspect, 26, hurried to put his shirt back on before pulling over, police say. The man did not have a driver’s license, and his female passenger could not provide identification either. The woman then said she previously had been arrested for prostitution, and admitted that’s why she was in the man’s truck. At that point, the john began repeatedly shouting, “Stupid bitches” and shaking his head as he was cuffed for patronizing prostitution and driving without a license. The officer searched the pickup and found an open 20-ounce can of beer that was still cold, and the suspect was additionally charged with possessing an open container of alcohol. The perp continued cursing about “stupid bitches” until he fell asleep in the back of the patrol car.
