Sportswriter, memoirist, butter-cake aficionado and drummer for ’70s hitmakers The Ozark Mountain Daredevils — “Jackie Blue” ring a bell? — Michael “Supe” Granda remains one of the local music scene’s most good-humored unsung treasures. (There are other equally unsung treasures, but most of them aren’t so good-humored about it.) To celebrate the release of Cool, Cool Yule, his new Christmas-themed serving of audio eggnog, he’s putting on a seasonal show for all the East Side’s wise men (likely) and virgins (doubtful). The K-Tel-ready roster of acts includes Supe & the Sandwiches, Mark & Mike, the Garth Branson Singers, and Tom Mason, who has his own new record to promote (and whose experience playing alongside Phil Lee should qualify him for hazard pay).
