Speaker, blogger and former Executive Director and CEO of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Nancy Van Reece wears many hats in her advocacy on behalf of civil rights, civil liberties and funding for the arts. This month she is wearing a paint-spattered beret, showing her Summer Color Conversation exhibit at Crema coffee brewtique. This Conversation is a wide-ranging affair that includes a number of diverse paintings exploring everything from feminism to digital technology. The show features several portraits and narrative works, but Van Reece really hits her stride with her stylized, storybook, cityscape renderings of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Several pieces have already been purchased from the show, so if you didn’t find something for your wall at the Tomato Art Fest, hurry to this one before it closes.
