Crack open the Knob Creek and book a table at Elaine's. Stone Barrington is on the case again in Loitering With Intent, the 14th Stuart Woods novel featuring the bourbon-swilling, pasta-eating, crime-solving lawyer. In this installment, Barrington and NYPD sidekick Dino Bacchetti leave their familiar New York haunts for Key West, searching out a missing millionaire among a mouth-watering collection of conch eateries and watering holes (so accurately described that one wonders whether the author was down there getting free fritters and margaritas). Naturally enough, murder, sex, bags of cash and other complications ensue. Loitering brings the total novel count to 40 for the prolific Woods. Fans have come to expect characters from earlier works and other series to make cameos; this time around, it's Chuck Chandler, the tennis-pro hero of 1995 bestseller Choke. Woods will read and sign Loitering With Intent.
