Located in Hendersonville, Steamboat Bill’s sits across the road from Creekwood Marina on Old Hickory Lake. Cajun-fried platters—shrimp, oysters, catfish, chicken strips and frog legs—form the backbone of the menu, along with Louisiana specialties like gumbo, hearty red beans and rice, étouffée and po’boys, as well as a half-dozen broiled entrées. The spicy boiled shrimp is a messy but finger-licking-good treat; crawfish is available only in season, roughly January through May or June.
