Don’t let Springwater’s hardscrabble atmosphere intimidate you; the dive bar is known for its adventurous bookings and its tolerant, attentive crowd of folkies, hippies and punks.

I have been in the company of many coots ,drunkards ,old farts. Young hip musical genius from time to time, from local bands to international bands. Bands that were famous (may I add with everyones refusal to let me in on the little secret). I have enjoyed it all.Springwater is just out and out plain old fun or boring no in betweens. The one place on earth you can go no matter who you are and be annoyed or be buzzing and/or drunk and leave with tons of friends.A new place for old faces and Hoffa is buried out back.

I love Spring water,It was one of the first bars I ever went to when I turn twenty one,I make it a point to go when I'm in Nashville,I always see a regular, and a few new faces.I have also done a few vintage clothing sales along with other folks selling jewelry, art and music in the past,I would do it again how ever things have changed,I had an envelope with important documents stolen from my purse the last time I went, after three days of it missing I got copy's and duplicates of the missing documents,I called spring water to let them know that I had copy's of the missing personal information and to be on the safe side would like to fill out a police report so that my original documents could not be used in a malicious way,And the gentleman that I spoke with exclaim that I was Drunk in a rude matter, when I lost that paper work,as if it were my fault that a thief take something from my bag, yes I exclaimed I was drinking, but I was not falling down drunk and that does not condone someone stealing from me,if everyone got robbed when they had a drink in a public place that serves alcohol, in a bar, then people wouldn't drink .I push on that I was still making a report and politely got off the phone, feeling a bit put off ,I was about to call and make my report when the Pizza guy that is connected to spring water Bigheads rock-n-roll pizza called to let me know that my enveloped documents had been found and that I could pick it up,The not so funny part about this is that money was also missing, how ever the thief was glad to leave me twenty dollars of my own money, feeling like a thief has not much sympathy for stealing, why would they leave just some of my money,I had drew the conclusion that it must have been someone that I knew, but i really didn't know anyone well there ,so who's to say who it was?all I know it,THEY GOT OUT OF ME FILLING OUT A POLICE REPORT,and to me that is shady,I want be back to Spring water, for a long, long, time, and if or when I do,I will make sure to leave my purse locked in my car!THANKS BUT NO THANKS SPRING WATER!
