Speaking of Doobie…

Doing research on Nashville’s classic-rock covers band Zig Zag, which turns five today, I couldn’t help but be impressed. They named themselves after an iconic brand of rolling papers? They must really love fine tobacco products. Almost as impressive is the ensemble’s enthusiasm for the music of the ’60s and ’70s. Their repertoire includes songs by the Stones, Donovan, T. Rex, Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Al Green, The Yardbirds, Neil Young, Golden Earring, David Bowie, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Animals and ZZ Top. And since the show is early, you’ll have plenty of time to go home and relax with some fine tobacco products of your own.
