Slow Food Nashville, Music City's force for all that is good and wholesome and local (to eat), is having a bake sale--and no, there won't be any church ladies or cheerleaders throwing together Duncan Hines and Tollhouse concoctions in order to afford those sweet new uniforms. Instead, some amazing local pastry chefs will be providing the (baked) goods. The sale opens at 8 a.m. at the Farmers Market and lasts until they sell out, so you better get there early. This is Slow Food Nashville's only fundraising event that sends 100 percent of the proceeds right back to the organization. For updated information on the participating chefs, visit slowfoodnashville.org.
