While we loathe to endorse anything even tangentially related to a Slightly Stoopid show — sorry, but we think that band is entirely stoopid — we’d remiss in our duties if we didn’t tell you that one of the greatest party bands in the history was going to be in town. Even if, that is, we think the headliner/opener dichotomy is a little fucked. (Even more fucked? Every video we tried watching on YouTube had an ad for soft-rock whiners The Script. Hey Google: your algorithms are NOT working … unless you have them set on “annoy.”) But yeah, Fishbone: Those dudes have been funkin’ up stages all over with their rowdy punk-funk-ska-soul whirlwind for over 30 years, and we’ve been catching them on the regular for about 20. If you’ve never seen them before, you owe it to yourself to discover just how fun music can be.
