With a flagship bar in St. Louis, Mo., and another location in Tempe, Ariz., the 6-year-old chain features audience sing-alongs to dueling pianos played by professionals. Big Bang is also bringing its corporate headquarters to Nashville.
“It’s not karaoke,” clarifies co-founder and managing partner Meredyth Muller, who recently set up the company’s HQ in the Customs House.
Seven nights a week, The Big Bang will host live music shows featuring requests from the 1950s to the present. The club has its own performing staff and will eventually look for local talent.
Unlike the Tempe and St. Louis locations, the Nashville Big Bang will also have a restaurant, where the menu promises to echo the “big” theme, Muller says—big salads, big sandwiches and big desserts. While Big Bang plans initially to open for evenings only, Muller says she hopes to open for lunch eventually. 411 Broadway, 242-9131.
