Should All Collectives Be Forgot

If you're a convert, new or old, to the ever-growing cult of Animal Collectophiles, then you've probably already downloaded every live version of "House" and every leak of "Brothersport" and "My Girls" that your hard drive will allow. As Baltimore's finest pre-Wire export is quickly becoming the Grateful Dead of indie-nouveau, your first listen of this album might be better suited for the comfort of your hot-boxed living room than a record shop, but that doesn't mean you should rule out Grimey's New Year's Day Animal Collective listening party as a viable option for popping your Merriweather Post Pavillion cherry. The store will spin the album in its entirety and take pre-orders for both the CD and 180-gram vinyl release. Store patrons will also get a chance to dip their sung tongs into a free AC poster, a download card for some limited-edition live tracks and a chance to win a free vinyl, complete with a rare UK 10-inch.
