Tennessee Women’s Theatre Project opens its 2012-13 season with this Steven Dietz romantic comedy, which sounds like familiar light fare we’ve seen elsewhere — maybe in the movies. Two former college sweethearts meet in an airport bar when a blizzard postpones their flights. They then catch up on the past two decades. Dietz continues to be a favorite of Nashville artistic directors (Still Life With Iris, Yankee Tavern, Becky’s New Car), and the promising cast of Mary Tanner Bailey and Brandon Boyd could emerge with something charming and fresh. TWTP’s upcoming schedule also includes Distracted, by Lisa Loomer (Feb. 22-March 10, 2013), and Women’s Work 2013 (May 3-19, 2013), the company’s seventh annual festival of performing and visual arts created by women.
