Sheryl Crow w/James Blunt

Recently, it’s become difficult to distinguish Sheryl Crow the singer-songwriter from Sheryl Crow the celebrity—the one that rowed with Dick Cheney, dated Lance Armstrong and talked about her cancer on Oprah’s couch. Over the year’s, Crow’s countrified pop has grown decidedly sunnier and more polished, but she remains a master at the stuck-in-your head chorus, whether she’s having some fun, soaking up the sun or taking one of those many winding roads. With little more than the ubiquity of his breakout hit “You’re Beautiful,” James Blunt has somehow managed to climb the ranks of the world’s most maligned pop stars. A butt of jokes at the hands of those both skilled (NBC’s The Office) and not-so-skilled (Jimmy Fallon), Blunt continues to laugh all the way to the bank.
