Shameless Self Promotion

How do Nashvillians know that the warm weather has truly, really arrived? The Iroquois Steeplechase, of course. This year marks the 62nd running of the popular equine event, which takes place Saturday at Percy Warner Park. So dress up in your finest seersucker and pack a cooler.... Equally festive, if somewhat different, is the Fraternal Order of Police’s 35th Annual Ball and Silent Auction, taking place Friday night at the Marriott Hotel by the Airport.... It’s a big week for theatergoers as well, with productions of Evita, Bring on ’Da Noise, Bring on ’Da Funk and Circle Players’ Crazy for You all opening within the next few days. Circle Players, it should be noted, is the city’s longest running community theater group, and this musical featuring the songs of George and Ira Gershwin opens Friday in TPAC’s Johnson Theater.... We have a movie sneak this week, to The In-Laws. Look in this week’s print issue to find out where and when to pick up your pass.
