Scruggs and Kisses

By now, just about everyone who’s heard of Chris Scruggs is familiar with his country-music heritage—and if his surname doesn’t tip you off as to what legacy he’s a part of, well, just forget it. But Scruggs offers more than simply the Nashville royalty embedded in his DNA. As part of the acclaimed rockabilly troupe BR549 and as a solo artist, his unique chicken-pickin’ and neotraditional crooning give Scruggs a style all his own. According to the folks at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Scruggs’ performance will be a solo steel guitar demonstration, meaning that while it won’t be a typical gig for this guitar-toting student of Western swing, he’s sure to bring some of his trademark youthful energy and finesse to an instrument as iconic as the Hall of Fame itself. The demo is included with the price of museum admission and free for CoMu members.
