Schneider’s No Snider Than I

Last week, we at The Scene conducted our annual Rock ’n’ Roll Poll, in which we asked some of Nashville's best and brightest to share their thoughts on local rock. Of all the nominees for “Most Fervent Local Show Attendee” and “Hardest Working Local Musician,” only one man was nominated for each. His name: Luke Schneider. And between his sundry contributions with artists like Lylas and Cortney Tidwell and his seemingly constant presence at The Basement, Mercy Lounge and The End, I'd say he's earned himself one massive birthday blowout. Schneider’s party—likely to be the most kickin’ local shindig of early ’09—will feature the larger-than-life sounds of The Features, the foot-tapping melodies of Eureka Gold, Hotpipes and My Tyger and further tunes from the increasingly popular act TBA. The bash will also include DJ sets from fellow Renaissance man Dave Paulson, Anna Lundy of Grimey’s and Curse of the Drinking Class fame and The Scene’s very own music nerd extraordinaire Adam Gold.
