The Tennessean tracks the number of white and minority head shots

If you’re black, chances are there’s never been a better time to have your picture in the paper. As a part of its remodeling effort to stem a five-year circulation slide, The Tennessean is tracking exactly how many minority head shots it publishes in each of its sections. It’s also making a concerted effort to include more photos in the paper generally to help with what Tennessean editors call “reader connection.”
