Robert K. Oermann at Davis-Kidd

Unless you were once a fly on Minnie Pearl's tag, most of us will never get closer to the Grand Ole Opry's backstage scuttlebutt than Behind the Grand Ole Opry Curtain: Tales of Romance and Tragedy, assembled by veteran country music journalist Oermann from more than 150 first-hand interviews with the Opry's leading lights. Oermann will be on hand to sign copies and discuss his research--and perhaps he'll share some dish that didn't make it between the covers, or at least settle matters of long-standing curiosity. Porter Wagoner may have had the threads, but we've always suspected the Opry's real stud was Little Jimmy Dickens.
