Road to Bonnaroo 8 off 8th at Mercy Lounge

Road Warriors

Road Warriors
Last year’s Road to Bonnaroo series proved to be a massive victory for the local rock scene, with epic performances from The Protomen, The Features and Heypenny leading the charge and securing them each a spot at one of the world’s most popular music festivals. Most of this year’s crop of local entertainers is new to the series, and from the prog-inspired active rock of Born Empty and the ultra-sweet piano pop of Parachute Musical to the The Non-Commissioned Officers’ new new wave and the jittery indie rock of The Privates, tonight’s lineup proves to be one of the series’ most diverse. Not to mention, with the recent announcement of this year’s comparatively lackluster Bonnaroo lineup, Road to Bonnaroo might just prove to be more entertaining than the festival itself. Hell, at least this one’s free. Kyle Andrews, Mona, Moon Taxi and Ponderosa round out the bill.
