Re:Wind '80s One-Year Anniversary Celebration
Nostalgia sure ain't what it used to be. When we were young’uns — when the Earth's mantle had just cooled down to a reasonable enough temperature for us to sprout legs and do a little land-walking — a decade had to be gone for at least 15 years before people got nostalgic for it. Nowadays, the turnover is more like a year and a half, maybe less. Seriously, we've seen people get misty-eyed and retro for the frickin' Aughts! Yeah, the decade that's only been in the ground for two years! It's ridiculous. Luckily, there are some people who aren't that quick to memorialize a rather mediocre decade, and are sticking to the classics. Re:Wind 80s and its resident DJs Mindub, Chek and Jimmy celebrate a year of keeping it really retro and officially old-school tonight with a hefty heaping of classic New Wave and alternative beats.
