Ree Drummonds life sounds like a modern day fairytale with Wild West flair: Big-city girl falls in love with a blue-eyed cowboy, marries and moves to a ranch in the middle of nowhere where she becomes an award winning blogger and best-selling writer? Yep. Milking cows, herding cattle, cooking for a passel of precocious cowgirls and boys and keeping her Marlboro Man tall in the saddle certainly agrees with the enviously fresh-faced, red-haired Drummond, whose debut, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, is a testament to wide open spaces and good country living. Part flowery diary, part homespun scrapbook complete with Drummonds own beautiful photographs, her cookbook corrals enough comforting recipeseverything from Cowboy Calazone to Crème Bruleeto leave you wishing for an extra bed in the familys bunkhouse. Line tickets are required for the book-signing portion of this event.
