Record Store Day 2014

Ernest Tubb Record Shop (417 Broadway), 9 a.m.-midnight
A selection of country Record Store Day releases, plus a performance from Tayla Lynn at 1 p.m.

Fond Object Records (1313 McGavock Pike), 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Festivities will also serve as Fond Object's one-year anniversary celebration. Featuring performances (noon-8 p.m.) from Joey Plunket, The Tendoor, Buffalo Clover, Fly Golden Eagle, Kings of the F**King Sea, Promised Land Sound, PUJOL and Misfruits (Turbo Fruits playing Misfits covers). Pop-up shops by Hail Dark Aesthetic, Infinity Cat Records, Palaver Records and Isle of Printing, plus a local designer sample sale, a petting zoo, and food by Space Dogs and Tacos Andreas. Drinks provided by The Stone Fox Tiki Bar, Little Harpeth Brewing and Star Hill Brewery. Famed former Best Show on WFMU host Tom Scharpling will serve as MC and DJ.

The Great Escape (5400 Charlotte Ave.), 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Free samplers, stickers, posters and more, plus 20 percent off all used music and music supplies.

Grimey's (1604 Eighth Ave. S.), 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Featuring performances (11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.) from Lower Caves, The Secret Sisters, NEEDTOBREATHE, John Oates, Promised Land Sound, PUJOL, Bully, Ranch Ghost, Majestico and Apache Relay. Food provided by Smoke Et Al and Crankees Pizzeria, plus pop-ups from Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co., Welcome to 1979 and Do615, prizes, ticket giveaways and more.

The Groove (1103 Calvin Ave.), 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Featuring performances by Shy Guy, Bully, Blank Range, Nudity, Nikki Lane, Mouth Reader, Gay Vibes and more, DJ sets from KDSML, Chris Crofton and Angie Dorin. Hosted by Olivia Fancytramp, with food and drinks by Mas Tacos, The Filling Station and Porter Road Butcher. Plus giveaways, 15 percent off all non-Record Store Day releases, new and used, and more.

Third Man Records (623 Seventh Ave. S.), 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
Featuring new merch (T-shirts, posters, sweets from Bang Candy Company, pop-up postcards and more), a 7 a.m. breakfast and a noon lunch on the patio. At 10 a.m. Jack White will record the "world's fastest studio-to-store single followed by a possible short set in the Blue Room," though all tickets for the performance have already been allotted. Performances at the Rolling Record Store (noon) from Waxed and Jawws, followed by another exclusive Blue Room set from Whirlwind Heat.
