Based in Southern California, RAW: Natural Born Artists is an independent organization that puts on art events in various cities that combine music, visual art, fashion, makeup, film and more, resulting in something that is part performance, part exhibit, part networking opportunity. Fusion, RAW’s seventh event at Mercy Lounge, will feature music acts Nathan Griffin, Justin Nault and Girls and Money; fashion designer Margaret May; accessories from Craftville; hair and makeup artists Kristina Wojtkowski and Alexandra Phillips; visual art by Jacob Howe, Cora Green, Taylor Christian, Tony Nicole, Kelly Parson and Allan Hood, as well as live painting by Ryan McCauley and Tia Adams; and a whole lot more. Cocktail attire is required. (If you dress up like a martini, will they let you in? Can’t say.) In keeping with their mission to be an eco-friendly organization, RAW eschews flyers, purchases carbon offsets, and has its website hosted on a server that is powered by 100 percent solar power. Props to them — maybe Al Gore will show up!
