Raining Cats & Dogs: A Benefit for Animal Flood Victims

When: Fri., July 2, 7 p.m.-12 a.m. 2010
Price: $5
We love our pets. That's a fact. They are our constant companions, our better halves and our fuzzy little extensions of ourselves. Even when they're annoying: pooping in appropriate places, puking on our shoes during dinner, making inappropriate editing decisions while we're trying to type (We appreciate the help, but “fgdhfhdfghasa” isn't a word, kitty cat!), they are the most awesome lil buddies anyone could ever ask for. And that makes it even sadder when they are affected by disasters like our recent flood. Since they can't speak for themselves, we'll do it for them and insist that you get your butts down to Avenue 9 for an excellent night of food, music and burlesque to benefit the Nashville Humane Society and the awesomely punny New Leash on Life. Scene favorites DJ Brandon Wahl and Dorian will supply the sounds, and the donations for the silent auction look hella sweet, so get there early and bid high.
