We were in one of the big-box stores buying some things made in China that will have to be recalled for lead paint when we discovered this shopping list, evidently belonging to the current circuit court clerk of Perry County, Peggy Smotherman.
We were in one of the big-box stores buying some things made in China that will have to be recalled for lead paint when we discovered this shopping list, evidently belonging to the current circuit court clerk of Perry County, Peggy Smotherman.  Well, well, well—it looks like someone likes to let her hair down after a long day of shuffling paper in Linden. What man can resist the elected official who accepts court fines with a fresh French manicure and the intoxicating aroma of disinfectant? Who knows what freaky toe decorations lie hidden inside those sensible shoes and behind that cabinet door? And what’s this? She likes a cocktail? Either that or some poor-spelling teenager added the beverage reminder and overindulgence contingency items. OK, so it’s just as likely this isn’t Peggy’s list. Next time, Peg, we recommend gathering up all yard signs and notepads when the election is over.
