Poet's Corner feat. Jeff Hardin

When: Thu., Aug. 28, 7 p.m. 2014
Price: free
Jeff Hardin’s poetry is concerned with time — the meaning we assign to it and the insights we can glean from it when we take the time to reflect on wild things. His explorations are grounded in the elemental stuff of rain pounding on a window, a mockingbird’s sly singing, the treasures that might be found in a waterfall and the sense of wonder that can rise up out of the most mundane moments. His latest collection, Notes for a Praise Book, is a Wordsworthian meditation that connects spiritual insights to Hardin’s observations of the natural world. At tonight’s reading, expect several selections from Praise Book as well as from the poet’s previous collection, Fall Sanctuary. JOE NOLAN
