There’s burying the lede and then there’s … well, burying the lede with three other ledes. In this case, the lede is that live-action poetry and music series Poetry Sucks! and local rock institution Third Man Records are collaborating for the first time, with an anthology due out next year via Third Man to be co-edited by PS! founder Chet Weise and TMR co-founder Ben Swank. That’s big news in and of itself, but instead of going home we’re going big, the other three ledes being: an art show by Tim Kerr (see story on p. 32); a free matinee rock ’n’ roll show featuring Kerr (formerly of The Big Boys and Poison 13), Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires, and the inimitable Holly Golightly; and a reading by poets Sampson Starkweather, Larry O. Dean and Paige Taggart, who among other accomplishments, including three chapbooks and a forthcoming full-length collection from Trembling Pillow Press, co-founded the Tumblr Poets Touching Trees.
