The Lionel Bart musical based on Dickens' Oliver Twist is a perennial favorite and certainly a solid choice for the community-based talents at Circle Players. It's a riveting, eventful story, and the songs are great ("Food, Glorious Food," "Consider Yourself," "As Long as He Needs Me," etc.). Director Clay Hillwig oversees a large cast that includes actress/TV personality Rachael Bernard as Nancy, Tim Bush as Bill Sykes, Evan Williams as Fagin, Victor Phelps as the Artful Dodger and 10-year-old Wes Richardson in the title role. Thom Garrison directs the music, and Kate Johnson is the choreographer.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 17. Continues through Nov. 2, 2008
