Oscar and the Lady in Pink

Achtung Baby

Achtung Baby
The meticulous craftsmanship and eerie realism of the Magdeburg Puppentheater’s tiny wooden players is on display all weekend in the Children’s Theater of Nashville’s Public Library. The puppet troupe, visiting from Nashville’s sister city of Magdeburg, Germany, are presenting Oscar and the Lady in Pink, the tale of a 10-year-old boy restricted to a hospital bed who develops a heartrending bond with an attendant. While children under 9 won’t be permitted to attend the presentation—the theme of mortality might prove to be a bit heavy for the teeniest of youngsters—the Library promises that this is a moving story fit for nearly the entire family, complete with hilarious characters and a wonderfully poignant story. Admission to Oscar and the Lady in Pink is, of course, free, so get down to the Library and get yourself some culture.
