It’s a been a whole year since Americans elected their first African-American president, and what of it? How’s the economy? What about race relations? What’s with this Nobel Peace Prize business? What about foreign policy? Has he fulfilled his promises to the gay community? And what about us—are we any different? This “frank and open” discussion held at the Vanderbilt hopes to tap the local pulse on the subject of change. But keep in mind, this ain’t no healthcarer reform town-hall debate—so try going in without the need for our blood pressure meds.
