Sometimes, after a long week of listening to music for a living, thinking deep thoughts about Gaga's nipple-stickers, pontificating on the post-deconstructivist poetry of Rebecca Black's “Friday” — important, important stuff — we really just need to kick back in a concrete bunker and rock out to some bludgeoning noise. What can we say, it's relaxing. (Also: cheaper than therapy.) This weekend Little Hamilton gets our heads straight with two days of bands on the outer fringes of the “listenability” spectrum. Prog-noise punks Gnarwhal are back from their hiatus and are better than ever (and they were pretty frickin’ rad to begin, if you ask us), and their show on Friday with Murfreesboro doom-metal upstarts Black Majesty and Scene faves Dawn should be killer. Saturday features St. Louis spazz-prog duo Spelling Bee, brutal Kentucky outfit Demeanor and lo-fi locals No Christmas.
