New Museums in Old Places at the Frist

Old Is the New New

Old Is the New New
The Frist Center isn’t just for gallery-hoppers. Even if you’ve already seen the shows currently at the Frist (the Byington show is worth another look), you should consider attending some of the great lecture programming they have going on this week. In keeping with the Frist’s ongoing discussion of art, architecture and public spaces, the Frist welcomes one of Nasvhille’s favorite cultural commentators, Christine Kreyling. Kreyling will discuss the design concerns that can be raised by adaptive re-use projects, pulling examples from the Center’s current Museums of the 20th Century exhibit as well as the former post office building that houses the Frist Center itself.
