Nashville’s Nutcracker

When: Dec. 7-22 2013
You may think you know The Nutcracker, but if you haven’t seen the Nashville Ballet’s interpretation, you’re in for a surprise. Since the ballet’s artistic director and CEO Paul Vasterling debuted Nashville’s Nutcracker in 2008, the show has thrilled local audiences by incorporating elements of the beloved classic with Nashville touches, such as characters inspired by Andrew Jackson and a storyline that starts young Clara’s adventure at the Centennial Exposition in 1897, making our own Parthenon part of the story. The massive production features 180 dancers accompanied by the Nashville Symphony.
