Nashville Punk Reunion 

Most Nashville rockers in the 1980s drew on roots music, power pop or underground metal. Sixty Nine Tribe stood out for their insouciant interpretation of the art-damaged strut of the Stooges and the angular austerity of Television. The quintet—led by singer John Sheridan and guitar-playing brothers Price and Mark Harrison—has reunited for their first series of shows in a decade or two. Their bassist, Tony Frost, switches to drums to perform with another reunion band, The Bunnies, one of Nashville’s first punk bands in the late 1970s and early 1980s, led by esteemed Nashville alt-rock veteran Donna Frost. Imagine The Pretenders crossed with The Plasmatics, with a Southern accent.
