Nashville Latin Xpress at Limelight

We were pretty stoked to find out that one of our favorite local music shows, CATV-19's Nashville Latin Xpress, was stepping off the soundstage and onto a real stage. It's like an early Christmakwanzakah present with some serious spice. The Corazon Band have made a straight shot to our heart with their heavy, funky Latin blues that at times sounds like War jammin' out with Black Sabbath…or Ray Barretto sitting in with Mountain. Or maybe it sounds like Willie Bobo rocking out with Iron Butterfly. Regardless, it's the combination of loud guitars and killer percussion that's always atop our local music wish list. (Aw, shucks, NLX; how'd you know that's what we wanted?) The Corazon Band are joined by the violin-powered indie-pop of Ocho Trienta, Isiah Garcia, Rafael Vasquez and the San Rafael Band and more.
