My Favorite Things at Tennessee Art League

Take a Walk on the Wiel Side

Take a Walk on the Wiel Side
Many of Carol Wiel's paintings contain such a spectrum of color that they almost look like stained-glass windows. Wiel takes traditional landscapes as her subjects, and her stylized renderings have a kind of naive charm that lends her woods and rivers an almost fairytale sensibility. Whether you're looking for a Christmas gift or just a break from the holiday hassles, the Tennessee Art League has three shows now on display. In addition to Wiel's My Favorite Things, they are also showing exhibits by the Studio A and The Underground art groups.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Starts: Dec. 1. Continues through Dec. 30, 2009
