Last summer, Musicians Corner established itself as one of Nashville’s best new outdoor events, livening Centennial Park every Saturday with a stage full of music, a grassy expanse full of welcoming shade and a wild rumpus zone full of wildly rumpus-ing kids. This year, they’re looking to increase the number of community groups, food vendors and charity partners, and by the looks of their opening day lineup, this is going to be another great series. Sarah Buxton, Andrew Ripp, The Westbound Rangers, Dara Tucker and Marie Hines will play the main stage, while local nonprofits Mocha Club and Cool People Care will be on hand to discuss what they do — African development and sustainable living, respectively. Sounds mascot Ozzie is also scheduled to make an appearance bearing gifts of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and who knows, maybe you can coax him into the Generation Domination photo booth.
