While most of Nashville's legit theaters have wrapped up their holiday entertainment, the folks at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre are still going strong with two offerings right up through New Year's Eve. Tom Dudzick's Greetings, directed by Charles Burr, finds a young man's outspoken fiancee locking horns with her conservative prospective in-laws on Christmas Eve. Happily, a Yuletide miracle of sorts defuses the family tension. Also onstage--and considerably less holiday-themed--is Murder at the Howard Johnson's, Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick's "suspense comedy" that works the lighter side of a murderous love triangle involving a used-car salesman, his two-faced wife and her unfaithful dentist lover. No one gets offed, of course, and that's where the laughter comes in. Kim Nygren directs the trio of actors: Elijah Dies, Jenny Noel and Dietz Osborne.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Nov. 13. Continues through Dec. 31, 2008
