More, More, Paramore

It's no surprise this rising local act toured with Paramore: &"Sowing Bad Seeds" the second song on their new CD Esque, shows that they're kindred spirits down to the sharp lyrics and poisoned ear-candy melodies. The rest of the CD sounds ready-made for the soundtrack of some future Twilight sequel. The first track, "Taking On" is all chilling sweetness and cunning smiles; the third, "Do The Regret" uses Cara Pollock's eerie piano to offset the bite in Kaleb Jones' vocals. Good stuff. The five members celebrate their first full-length disc at a record-release show with opening acts Brenn, the Kopecky Family Band and The Vettes.
