Max Tundra at Mercy Lounge 

For nearly 10 years, London producer/musician Ben Jacobs (a.k.a. Max Tundra) has been programming and performing a scattered, offbeat compound of pop, soul and electro on prehistoric computer software. While accumulating copious praise from critics and music geeks the world over, the fractured character of his work isn’t likely to yield him any commercial demand. While his newest, Parallax Error Beheads You, continues this disjointed trend, there’s a sweet silver pop lining underneath all the vertigo, which makes this offering slightly more palatable to a less refined ear. Plus Tundra has at least one Music City connection, being a long-time advocate of local electro duo Jensen Sportag. Canadian indie-electro poppers Junior Boys headline.
