This is the final Mashville party before resident DJ and local hip-hop luminary Kidsmeal becomes a man—a man with a record, that is. After years of anticipation and more than a little pestering on our part, Kidsmeal is gonna bless us with the Secret Recipe (his first collection of beats and scratches) on June 5. Do we know what’s in the Secret Recipe? Sadly, no: The Kid’s been keeping a tight lid on it. But inside sources tell us it’s a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am onslaught of instrumental hip-hop. Be sure to check out the debut issue of Ethos Culture Magazine—the new glossy, pocket-sized digest from local graffiti crew Workforce Rebellion—for great interviews with Kidsmeal and Mashville co-conspirator Wick-It the Instigator.
