If Nashville fashion hasn’t yet attained the high profile of, say, the local music scene, it’s not for lack of up-and-coming talent. Tonight eight strikingly diverse young designers will send their new collections down the runway at Local Honey. Epicene is “carefully curated avant-garde vintage clothing that blurs gender lines” — pieces in shades of black and gray with unusual draping and crisp, clean edges. Tuft, by Jessica Jones, is “bright, bold and unapologetically girly,” pairing clean, classic silhouettes with fun colors and patterns. The Balee Collection is an assemblage of vintage items selected by local fashion maven Balee Greer. Local fave Tidman and Perrywell mixes candy-colored preppy-wear with nods to grunge and work uniforms. All the clothes are affordable and will be available at Local Honey.
